- Tease image: Using the ‘Select Image’ button, attach the image you wish to be used as this News Story’s ‘Tease Image’ (aka thumbnail) when it is shared. This image is not embedded anywhere in the content of the actual story. It will only appear as a thumbnail when this story is pulled onto other pages or the link to this story is shared online.

You must select either ‘Internal’ or ‘External’.
External: If the story is external then simply paste the url of the story into the URL field under ‘Link’ in the ‘External News’ drop-down. You may also attach a file if you wish. Selecting ‘External News’ Doesn't create a page. News/story teases will link to either the URL you enter or the file you upload.

You will you use this section just as you would for a Basic Page by adding and editing the components you need. - In the ‘Assign story to’ box: Under ‘Colleges, departments, and divisions’ Select the appropriate College/School the story is for. In each additional selection box that appears designate the division/program, etc. as needed. By clicking the grey ‘Add another item’ box you can add this story to more than one Department/College/School.
All programs, colleges, schools, departments, and divisions are included in this section. By selecting the corresponding program, we can pull all stories about that program onto the program’s webpage. This means we can pull different story types from different platforms onto the program webpage as well.
DO NOT select more than two to three programs, colleges, schools, and the like. Doing so makes the tagging/metadata selection moot because it removes customization as well as tying related content together. Pick the most applicable program, school, college, department, and/or entity. Who will benefit most by having this story on their webpage?
- Tags: There will be an autogenerated tag list of tags to choose from. If you would like to suggest a tag, please email hscwebmaster@hsc.utah.edu. This is to mitigate the use of tags which cause more noise than use (one-off tags never used again) as well as ensure that tag lists are not duplicative.
- News story category is a different organization of the content into major content buckets that will allow us to pull these content collections onto relevant webpages.
Please DO NOT add any “categories for clinical site” at this time.
Stories checked with “recognition” will generate onto an awards and recognitions webpage in the media newsroom.
