The Kaltura Video component enables you to seamlessly embed videos and playlists from Kaltura into your webpage. You can also include an optional caption for additional context, and adjust the spacing above and below the video for optimal alignment within your page layout. This component replaces both the Kaltura Single Video Player and the Kaltura Playlist Player.

Usage

Do

  • Choose video content that is relevant and enhances the information on the page.
  • Include a caption if it adds valuable context or information for the audience.
  • Use the spacing options to keep the video layout visually balanced with other content.
  • Limit the number of videos on a single page to avoid overwhelming the user.

Don't

  • Avoid placing the video too close to large blocks of text, which can make the page feel cluttered.
  • Avoid using videos as the sole form of content on a page.
  • Don’t overload the page with multiple videos, as this can slow down loading times and overwhelm users.

Accessibility

  • For accessibility, we encourage authors to provide a clear and descriptive caption for the video, which can be read by screen readers. This ensures that users with visual impairments can understand the context of the video content.
